Our story
On April 24, 1973, a group of citizens from the Lodi community met and formed the Lodi Valley Historical Society, consisting of 49 charter members. The Jolivette Memorial House was acquired in 1988 by a generous gift from native son Ray Brown in memory of his beloved wife, Margaret Jolivette Brown. In 2009 a new addition to the Jolivette Memorial House was built. On this location in 1846 Isaac Palmer built Lodi's first log cabin.
